HowCanIHelp.org is a LGBTQIA+ safe space!
My group and I noticed that there were not many websites dedicated to victims of hate crimes. This was concerning to us considering the alarming rate at which LGBTQIA+ individuals are targeted. We knew we wanted our website to be educational and a safe space for people within the community and allies. We wanted our design to be fun and playful yet serious when we needed it.
Here is a walkthrough from when I had completed the website in 2022.
I created the website homepage, the blog, and two of the informational tabs within the website. While this was my main focus in the group I also assisted with the research, reactive website sizing, design assets, and the brand identity.
